Buyer Warning, the lids that come with these jars DO NOT fit properly! The lids screw onto the jar, but there is a 1/8 inch gap between the top of the glass jar and where the lid is intended to seal. against banks. UPDATE 6/20/2016 I took a razor and cut the bottom of the cap about 1/8" to the bottom of the first thread in the cap. Cut a little and the test matches A LOT so don't go too far! PLEASE BE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TRY THIS! The lids will now fit properly! Be very careful not to cut too much.
