Review on Chard HG 10 Meat Grinder Silver by Meghan Davis

Dangerous even to yourself

Do not buy this product. Of course, after receiving it, I opened it, assembled it and tested it. It was rough and roughly built, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway after washing it with soap to get rid of the manufacturing chemistry smell. I took the grinder apart and soaked all the parts in hot water and dish soap in a large plastic bowl overnight. The next morning the water was yellowish and when I drained the water there were all sorts of metal particles at the bottom of the bowl and all the parts were rusty where the can was worn. The tin coating has clearly peeled off the threads and other chafed areas in the few minutes I've tried it, and would have ended up in my food if I had actually ground anything. In addition, the blade was rusty and the chopping plate was badly rusted. Between future metal particles in my food, instant rust, rough mechanical work, and yellowing (toxic coatings?) chemicals on metal, I've never used it on food and instead am trying to return it as I don't even want that thing to be in my house. My understanding is that this thing shouldn't even be on the market and I pray for people who are eating metal flakes in their food without knowing it. I hope I have no problem returning this product and getting my money back. back.Follow up: I have searched Revain to contact them that I do not believe this product is safe for public health and should not even be sold on this site as Revain may also be liable for personal injury claims , but so far I haven't found a way to contact them about it.
