I refuse to pay the price for branded versions of this mount when it is such a basic device. I took a risk with the purchase and was completely satisfied. The aluminum is stiff enough to support a computer and camera mounted underneath. The Wahoo computer mount is solid and has no play (does not rattle). It's not as light as carbon, but I'll agree with a few extra grams here and would recommend it if you have a stem/handlebar combo that's suitable for this mount.
