Review on AquaDance Chrome Finish 6-Setting Shower Head with Maximum Power for Superior Performance. Experience 2.5 gpm Spiral High-Performance Luxury Even with Low Water Pressure by Jarrod Zuvers

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The shower head is decent, but not enough water flows even with the water limiter turned off.

Our old showerhead was a typical run-of-the-mill, non-green, hippie-hating, water-wasting, contractor-bought, cheap showerhead. And let me tell you, he's been doing his job for over 30 years. It let through plenty of water to shower you in a torrential downpour of clear water strong enough to punch you through a glass shower door or pierce your body with thousands of rain shrapnel. Stick bubbles in hair or on monkey body - forget it. Will the old beast wash you away without blinking a drop? It was like the old washing machines - before the high-efficiency junk they sell now - the ones that actually washed your clothes, rather than just squirt water on them, stir them up and call them clean. This beast doused you until you were cleansed. In any case, the animal had lived its life well and it was time for it to go to pasture. Don't tell our kids we threw it away, they still think it's connected to a shower somewhere in the field where the goats are bathing. Based on Revain's reviews, we chose this shower head. The showerhead received an A for looks. She is shiny and fluffy. But honestly, who cares when their job is to pour water over you to flush you out. 6 shower head settings - hmm. More like 3, with a mediocre combination of the rest. These three settings boil down to one decent setting and two mediocre "massage" settings. I would just stick with the regular spray regimen designed to wash you away. 3-5 stars for that. water pressure. Quite high, of course, in needle-shaped streams. But you need to focus on 2.5 GPM. This is gallons per minute and equals 2 cups poured on you every 3 seconds. It won't do the job of a 30 year old titanium shower head, which I've been doing day in and day out for a long, long life. This beast would douse you at, I believe, 5 gallons per second. It would make you fear for your life if it took you more than 3 minutes to shower. This Nancy shower head gracefully wishes you well for the 30 minutes it takes to wash all the soap off you after you lather up to clean. Even if you remove the water restrictor, you still won't have serious water consumption. Pressure - yes, but water flow - no. 3-5 stars for this guy. I will make it clear that this is something no shower head made now can beat unless you open it up and get rid of the devices that restrict the water in them. But from what I've researched, it's hard to find a showerhead like in the good old days that makes you feel like you're standing under a Niagara waterfall, rather than like a giant umbrella with holes in it, thrown in the rain stands . ... Apparently 2.5 GPM is now the government standard and like everything government run it screwed up. I believe the flow rate was implemented to save water by using less water per shower. But like all things our government has dreamed up, it now takes twice as long a shower to wash off all the soap, which in turn wastes the same amount of water and more time than before. Thanks to the government! Seriously, all this water saving junk we have to use is the opposite. We have to wash our clothes twice to get clean, which wastes more water and electricity. We have to flush our toilets twice or more to flush the shit down the drain (especially if you have severe bowel problems like my kids do) since low flow toilets were a must. We have to spend an hour in the shower to clean ourselves as we don't get a decent flow. Don't get me started on the amount of gas I spill with federally approved leakproof gas canisters. Anyway, overall for what it's worth this showerhead gets 3 out of 5. I would rate it higher but I don't think anyone deserves more if they can't give them a higher flow rate.
