When I first used it I was very disappointed. I was so excited to find such a good deal that at first I was heartbroken by the negative results. BUT. The first time I used them I tried them on card stock and they practically ripped through the paper leaving it in tatters. I then tried them on vinyl and they completely cut through the backing of my vinyl in my cutting mat! I had a job that needed doing so I broke down and bought brand name Cricut blades. It was then that my idea of these blades changed. Cricut Blades did the same! (This was the first time I changed blades on my machine). After doing a little research and polling other Cricket Masters on Instagram, I found that this is a common occurrence with new blades. Pooh! My advice to you is to run your machine a few times with a new blade on some cardboard with a NEW mat (another mistake I made) and set the cutoff setting to one lower than normal (Example: Use You thick cardboard; set it to "lightweight cardboard" or "paper". Changing the setting will decrease the depth/pressure of the cut and somewhat negate the sharpness. Using cardboard also helps to keep the blade just that dull to make sure it doesn't cut through the substrate or go too deep into the mat. So after all, YES, I'm happy with this product. Also, for those who claim the blades aren't as many as advertised, ask Make sure you look under the foam. You're here !
