TOP RATING - Amazingly comfortable running shoes - NO BACK PAIN for me - fantastic value for money and a great looking pair of shoes - get some :) LONG RATING - Ok - So I have a lot of shoes - a lot - more than my wife (yes , I'm a man and these are women's shoes - we'll get to that in a moment) and the vast majority of my shoes have been chosen for their looks and style. But when it comes to sportswear, they are chosen for their performance. So, I'm 52 years old and about 4 years ago I got a new job that brought me back into corporate after a 12 year hiatus. This forced me to buy new work clothes. When I went to the store, I realized that the pants in size 38 no longer fit me and I would have to get a bigger one. It has taken me on a fitness journey that has taken me to my current 29 inch waist and from 189 pounds to 146 pounds. In terms of exercise, there have been many online classes, power walking, cycling and regular walking. My 1 year old Asics was showing signs of aging that I didn't expect for at least 5 years and it was time to look at another pair of shoes. When I researched the internet, I was very fascinated by the design of the sneakers. Clever as I've never seen anything like this before. At that time it was only possible to get a female model in my size. Considering that female and male models look the same to me, I made up what the heck and bought them. Having no idea how such a sole would work and not knowing the brand, it was a real leap. Believe because I'm allergic to customer remorse and always scrutinize everything I buy. FIRST IMPRESSION: When I took them out of the box they were just as impressive as the product listings with their crazy design. The honeycomb outsole is wild and I couldn't wait to try it out. I immediately liked how the mesh material feels amazingly breathable and works well to keep me fresh during workouts. Love how the two black straps are used. The last two loop holes are for the laces as this transfers the load to the back of the shoe rather than the laces as in the traditional implementation. .FITI ordered 9.5 and they fit me perfectly. They are very comfortable and from day one there is no place where it is uncomfortable. USE When I put them on and just walked around the house they were very comfortable and when walking the dog they were perfect no matter the terrain. , on the street or in the park. THE BIG TEST came at the end of one of the walks when I decided to see how they behave when running. To put this in context, all I've worked with up to this point has been my DEAR Aciscs, which I've chosen based on the reviews.... AND ALSO…. I was AMAZING - worth repeating - AMAZING. This pair of Umyogo shoes I had never heard of, with their insane outsole construction, allowed me to run pain free - NO PAIN - when running in my Aciscs resulted in almost instant discomfort on every run. It's a really liberating experience - my lower back doesn't hurt anymore when I walk - WOW! I'm a newbie :) NEGATIVE RELATIONSHIPS: Actually there's nothing about them that makes me stop getting them or suggest someone else won't get them, but here are a few things I found: #1 - They make a bit of a strange noise when walking on concrete or asphalt. It's not very loud and can decrease over time, and it's certainly not a deal breaker given how incredibly they run. #2 - This great honeycomb outsole attracts a bit of dirt and debris and ends up getting pretty muddy. In a way that you won't see in shoes with more traditional soles. So if your looks are important to you, you either have to just walk on the lawn, take an old toothbrush with you every now and then, or just wear it indoors. and that is why they are a 5 star product. SUMMARY I was initially attracted by the look of these shoes and thought I had an interesting pair to walk my dog and maybe ride my bike at home, but I wasn't expecting to find the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn Life. If you're reading this, get a pair - I don't think you will be disappointed :) CONCLUSION: This is a review written during lockdown and in an effort to stay safe and healthy.
