Review on πŸ’Ž Diamond Extractor Remover: The Ultimate Solution for Ceramics and Porcelain by James Roper

I was skeptical about this $12 set, but...

Yes, I was skeptical about this under $12 diamond drill bit set, but I gotta tell you it worked to drill a hole cut into quartz. Have a metal sculpture of a hummingbird and flower with a steel base for a garden. Wanted to put a piece of semi flat quartz stone over a steel base to make it look like it was set on stone. This involved cutting a 2 1/2" diameter groove in 3/4" thick quartz. Then drill a 16mm hole at the end of the cut. (See photo) Bought a 4 1/2 inch diamond blade for less than $10 which did a great job cutting quartz. (described in separate review) Both tools worked, but the diamond bit was badly damaged in the process. However, this diamond grinder from Autotoolhome has proven itself very well and it is clear that it still has a lot of time. I'm pink, it worked. Worked in stone/quartz for less than $12, but a 16mm drill bit is useless for other things. It's pretty heavily overloaded. You can see in the photos that the play on the chrome quickly disappeared and most of the diamond grit was gone. But I have all the rest.

Pros
  • Quality Drill Bit
Cons
  • Crumpled
