More like a mid rise bathing suit. I am around 180-185 my Jean size varies on store but usually 12-14 and my bra is a 38 D I can get an xl almost everywhere and it will either fit perfect or be a little large every bathing suit I've ordered this summer is xl and have had no issue with it being too small so I was eager to try one of these (I actually ordered two colors because I thought they were so cute) however I was very disappointed when I got it and tried it on the top was extremely too small and the bottoms were not high rise they came below my belly button very much bellow my belly button I guess tho they fit like my butt and hips and didn't feel too tight they were just too low the top tho that was too small I have some spillage. Not bad quality tho it was a nice bathing suit just not what I expected
