One of the biggest problems I've had is that the calibration gets lost pretty easily. It's very hard to give him a proper reset. I think it would be much better if they calibrated it properly from the factory and if the calibration reset (so you can check between points) is instant, which only reverts to the default zero calibration if you hit reset or something keep. It's pretty easy to get negative numbers when trying to calibrate it from zero because I didn't hold it very tight. Of course, don't expect this thing to be too accurate to the smallest decimal place, but it does guarantee that it can be turned off half the time. One annoyance that comes with it is the auto-on feature. When it detects movement, it turns on. Unfortunately, as sensitive as it is (which it needs to be to do what it's supposed to do!), it basically means it always shows up on its own. It turns off again after a while and of course uses very, very little power, but that means it slowly drains over time just sitting in the drawer I keep it in. Otherwise he does his job quite well. . For its price range, it's pretty much what you'd expect. In fact, most of them in this price range probably use roughly the same parts, only changing the outside appearance on the inside. I don't think you can top it for accuracy or general build quality until you look at really expensive ones for really serious work. Since I'm only measuring various components and such, I rarely need this level of accuracy and it hasn't fallen short of my requirements yet.
