This is a very durable peeler. You can tell that as soon as it's in your hands. You won't lose as much fruit as you would with a knife or regular vegetable peeler that you buy at most stores. This will take a long time. I like that it can be washed in the dishwasher. It's much easier to peel the hard pears we have in Georgia. This made my task of peeling pears for jam much easier. You have to be careful with this because I accidentally cut off my thumbnail. I'm glad it wasn't my thumb. Great product for adults.
