, I've had it for 2 months now and decided it was time to drain the stuck water (not much). I cleaned the screens, there was almost no dust, but the problem was the screws. The bolts on the upper rear filter were rusted and the rust was everywhere and the rust had seeped into both the lower A/C pan and the floor. I wrapped the hose in insulation which I can confirm is of a higher quality. than the 8000 BTU version. The air conditioner lowers the temperature by several degrees and is not recommended as a standalone air conditioner. The main problem is that the air conditioner is only 2 months old and there is rust everywhere from 4 screws on the back, mostly on one side (maybe my floor isn't quite level). In general, everything is fine, but the rusting screws really upset me. Why couldn't stainless steel screws be used?
