Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑ ANCOOL 22mm Soft Silicone Watch Strap Replacement for Fenix 5/Fenix 5 Plus/Forerunner 935/Approach S60/Quatix 5 - Pack of 7 by Nicolai Goler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a 22mm silicone strap only. Don't mind the smartwatch if you're using a real watch.

Revain recently had a watch for sale that I like, a Seiko Solar analog watch with a 42mm dial and 22mm lugs. A real watch that displays the time, day of the week, date and everything we in the watch lover's world like to call "tool watches". Because it is a tool for determining the time. Period. I'm a retired IT engineer and have more than enough screens in my life, I don't need and need one instead of a real clock. This watch lasts 10 months when fully charged with a light source and never needs to replace the battery. Eat your heart with a 3-day smartwatch. I thought since the watch is black with some sort of stencil on the bezel indices I would risk this bracelet and complete it with a military accessory. Green silicone strap. Since I don't wear see-through (leather, nylon, canvas, cloth, etc.) watch straps, I figured an army green silicone strap would work with the new watch, so I put a canvas strap on top. I don't wear nato straps either, firstly because they are made of porous nylon (permeability is a no-no for me), and secondly because they look to me like someone tried to strap their watch to an old piece on their wrist to attach seat belt This belt fits perfectly on the 22mm spring bar. It is very easy and quick to remove or replace. ooh I've tried to get it to "accidentally" let go of the spring bar and it's very tight there, at least as tight as any other system. I have a fairly large 8 inch wrist and there is room on the strap. It's also very quick and easy to remove or replace, wish more straps would use this system. I'm having a hard time finding one that fits without strangling my hand. The "keepers," the small loops that hold the belt's tongue where it emerges from the buckle, have tabs that fit into slots in the belt. This is a GREAT added feature as these lugs tend to wander up and down the watch band without these lugs holding them in place. This can result in the band lug or keeper catching on something that could damage the band or holder. the bow. No problem with that tape, the tabs on the holders will stabilize them right where you put them. This is something that is not shown or stated in the product description and very much should be. This is the deciding factor for me and I could have returned the strap if it hadn't had those l ugg boots on its arms. The strap is about as thick as expected and has no noticeable taper from the lip to the buckle. Being silicone, it weighs very little and adds no weight to the watch and strap combination. This is just a nice, simple, non-reactive, non-absorbing, military-style watch strap. It will fit any watch, elegant or otherwise, with a 22mm lug. I don't know if I will use this strap on an Omega or a Rolex, mainly because these watches are much heavier than the ones I use this strap on. It's a bit basic for a multi-thousand dollar watch and I think there's a better choice. But a watch I bought for less than half the price that I would want to wear every day to protect my nicer watch from the wear, scuffs and scratches that come with such use. This strap works great. My only gripe with this is that I could do without the small smartwatch triangles, of which there are three. One at the buckle and one near each eyelet. But that's a very, very minor issue, and I'm not deducting a star from my rating. I knew they were there when I ordered it and it's a style piece, not a flaw in design and materials. The particular watch I wear this strap on has a very similar small triangle on the bezel above the 12 o'clock position, so it looks like the strap was made specifically for this watch. like, something like. In fact, now that I look at it a little more closely, it looks pretty natural. Let's see how long it lasts, I just got it. If it has an unreasonably short lifespan I will come back here and edit this review. If you don't see this addendum, what I'm saying here still applies.
