It's great that the Chinese make these Tevas out of recycled plastic that are just the right length and width, but the recycled plastic plastic soles and fabric uppers are rough and unforgiving. The straps are rough and uncomfortable, and the soles don't cushion or flex on concrete surfaces, which the rubber soles of my now-worn, worn-out Hurricanes still give years later. I sent these new Tevas back and bought the Chacos, still thick with a beautifully shaped sole for greater comfort on hard surfaces. Sad that Tevas used to feel like they were custom made for my foot because they fit so well and felt so good for so many years.
