I've never been a big fan of electric skillets. I've used a few over the years, but not many. I bought this pan because I have an old stove and some of the burners no longer work. I have to say that I had doubts when buying it. I received the pan and opened it and the instruction manual was missing. No problem. I called Presto and they gave me a website to download and also sent me a manual. Their customer service was amazing to say the least. They went through EVERY part of the manual and gave me warnings and directions for cleaning and everything else. I have to say that I was very impressed by their personal approach. Well I washed it, plugged it in and decided to try a harness that needs a lot of maintenance to keep it from burning. Lasagna on the stove. WOW! I've never made it so easy for myself. This pan works like a dream and cleaning up was so easy I couldn't believe I spent all these years cleaning to make this dish. I joke that you can't soak and clean. Just one swipe and you're done. Now I use this pan almost every day and couldn't be happier. It even seems to boil and needs very little, if any, oil. Everything from grilled cheese to steaks. even macaroni and cheese. This is a wonderful product. Keep in mind that I haven't used this type of pan very often so there may be others that are just as good or better, but this one ranks first in my book. recommend it?
