There are many of these portable fans. Oberly claims to be her best. The fan I ordered was fantastic and exactly as advertised on the sales page: comfort, design, battery life, durability, colour. but one of the fans struggled to keep up with his comrade's speed at all times. I contacted Oberly about the faulty unit and they immediately replaced the fan with a new one (they also offered a refund instead, which I declined). The new fan has the same problem as the first, but there are WAY fewer problems, to put it bluntly. it's barely noticeable - enough for me to downgrade from five to four stars. When I asked, Oberly said that these small portable fans are not 100% able to keep up with the constant speed of the large floor or table fans we are all used to. The only other issue I had with this device was that it was too short, a 10 inch USB charging cable is included. This is the absolute minimum length allowed and I want it to be at least 12-15 inches. Only 10 inches and you should be charging your device right next to your computer. There is no leeway where you place it. The fan can easily be worn around the neck for hours. Even if the device is a bit heavy, you hardly notice it. And honestly I'm glad it has some weight because it tells me it's not a cheap piece of junk that will break if I drop it. I love that this speakerphone keeps me cool no matter where I go. The adjustable built-in cables that control the direction of the fan are nice and flexible, but also very thick; They always stay in place until you decide to move them. The estimated battery life of 4-8 hours and charging time of 3-4 hours are correct. Running it at high speed will give you around 4 hours, medium speed around 6 and low speed around 8. Unless you run it at a steady speed, this battery life will vary. The device will hold a charge for two days or more with little or no use (my only test was to leave the device fully charged for about two days, so it could probably stay charged a bit longer). The fan has three speeds: low, medium, and high, and each higher speed consumes more battery life. You turn the device on by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds, but you only need to press once to adjust the speed when it's on. To turn it off, press and hold the power button again for a few seconds. Easy! You can unscrew the center circle of each fan to reveal the aromatherapy compartment. Each section includes a removable fabric pad to accommodate whatever flavor you wish to add. I don't know where to get replacement pads. I tested the aromatherapy mode with 4 drops of doTerra essential oil in each compartment and the fan does a good job of diffusing the scent for many hours. I don't know where to get replacement pads. Basically I am satisfied with this device. It's not perfect, but close. And it does what I need: cools me down on hot summer days and nights without air conditioning. Although I can't wear it to bed while I sleep, I can sit in bed with it when I want to watch TV or read. You can detach it and put it by my bed when needed, and it will keep you cool all or most of the night depending on your current battery life and speed setting. I also kept it on my desk at work when I didn't feel like carrying it. The great thing about this device is that you have multiple options for placing it when you're not wearing it. Thanks to its small, curved form factor, this device fits almost anywhere a traditional fan cannot. Users with long hair and those wearing jewelry should be careful not to get their hair or jewelry caught in the fan blades during use. Fingers stuck in the blades should not be injured. This has happened to me a number of times when I carelessly tried to adjust the angle of the fan (tip: be careful what you're using it for!). All that happened was the blade stopped and I felt a stab. No cuts, no bruises, just a red mark that went away after a few minutes. As soon as my finger was removed, the blade resumed its work. Both the device and my finger were fine. It's not easy to get your fingers caught on the blades, but it's possible if you grab the fans from behind. In short I recommend and love this little fan and appreciate the seller for providing a quick replacement. If you have any problems contact Oberly and they will take care of you. UPDATE (September 4, 2020): A replacement fan almost got me through a long, hot summer, but just died without warning. I contacted Oberly and politely explained the issue. They immediately agreed to send me a new fan even though the 30 day return window was months away! A return of defective goods was still not necessary, there were no workarounds. This is great customer service and I appreciate the company behind their product. Thank you Oberlie! UPDATE (November 2, 2020): Just a quick update to say that the third fan sent to me by Oberly worked great (better than all previous ones). Thank you Oberlie!
