If you're looking for a mattress topper that's only waterproof on the top, this might be for you, but it's not what I wanted. I needed a fully enclosed, 100% waterproof mattress topper. Judging by the description, you'd think that's exactly the case. It is not. It has a nice quilting pattern throughout and is therefore soft, but the cotton fabric is very thin, especially on the sides, and is only waterproof at the top. I can't even guarantee it because he hasn't been to the flood plain yet. Yes, a flood plain. It's amazing how much fluid can leak from a body even less than a meter long. I was hoping to protect the entire mattress but that won't help. I will search further.
