I recently bought a 2018 macbook pro where you only provide 4 thunderbolt 3 ports. I'm not a big fan of having to plug in a bunch of adapters, but hey. What can you do? So far I haven't found any cases, hubs or adapters that allow me to connect 2 SSDs at the same time, which is quite unfortunate. I work in music production and 1 disc just isn't enough for me. 1 port occupies my USB hub for dongles, HDMI connections and AC power. Another port for my 88 key midi keyboard as my MacBook doesn't have enough bandwidth to connect to the above hub. The other port connects my Thunderbolt 2 audio interface via an adapter. This leaves me with a port to connect one of my SSDs. Luckily I found this product and so far it has been successful in running my 2 SSDs at the same time. I don't run them in RAID mode, I just run them in JBOD mode (just a couple of disks). I would like to see another Thunderbolt 3 daisy chaining product in the near future. So far this product is doing its job well.
