Overall a good camera. However, there are better and cheaper ones. The image quality itself is at the level of many 0.3MP cameras, but there is less noise than very cheap ones, and auto-correction works very well (exposure, white balance, focus). So if you need a "set and forget" camera and you don't want to dig the Internet in search of an inexpensive high-quality camera, then this one will do, and a thousand is not such a big amount. And what about the HD 720 - they, of course, did not smell here, and when changing the resolution from 640 * 480 to 1280 * 720, the processor is loaded by 30-40% (I tried it on core2duo e6750). So the manufacturer, apparently, was cunning about honest 2MP.
