Baby electronics power on problem

My child loves this camera. The photos are not bad for what it is. She likes different colors and frames to choose from. She also likes the shelf camera. I would have rated it higher if it weren't for the recent issues. The camera didn't stop. I could hold down the power button and it stayed on, but the second I took my finger off it just turned off. I'm an engineer so I did some troubleshooting. Some boot and memory card issues. The solution I had to do was the following. Remove the micro SD card before powering on. Turn on the camera. While the camera is still booting, reinsert the SD card. The camera stays on. When we first bought the camera this was never a problem. The SD card is the same. So the downside is that my 5 year old can't eject the SD card himself. Me or my wife should help her turn on the camera. It's just annoying. The camera works, so that's a plus. It just doesn't work properly (when enabled). UPDATE Well, I have a suspicion that the camera might have a software bug due to the many images on the micro SD card. 32GB card. My daughter took 8GB of random photos. I downloaded everything to my laptop and erased the whole map. I reinserted the card, turned on the camera and it stayed on and didn't have to go through all the steps above. The card is only 1/3 full, I don't think that's the problem. I suspect something in the camera software doesn't want to read/see 8GB images. I agree because I only need to upload pictures from time to time. Updating my rating to 4 stars.
