Review on MikroTik hAP AC Lite Tower RB952Ui-5ac2nD-TC Wireless RouterBoard by Adam Nowak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

It is completely similar to hAP AC lite, only the case differs. The younger model of the hAP AC series differs from its older brother in the absence of an SFP module and gigabit ports, but more than compensates for them with a minimal price. Complete freedom of customization - RouterOS is the same for all manufactured Mikrotik models, if you want even more settings - you can purchase a higher license, although there are more than enough of them for home use, and for medium offices you can purchase a more powerful device, and, preferably, in a rack. The broadcasting power is sufficient, the transmission speeds for both wi-fi and 8p8c ports correspond to the declared values. Pretty petite, easy to hide around the corner of a small wall cabinet, curtains, or monitor. The LED indication is dim and does not hurt the eyes, however, when checking the status, it is sufficient.

Pros
  • Price-functionality ratio. Hardware stuffing (availability of USB, amount of RAM and flash, processor). The functionality of the standard firmware.
Cons
  • In comparison with competitors, the firmware goes far ahead, losing only openWRT in terms of functionality. Perhaps that's all.
