Very happy with this purchase. The basket arrived in perfect condition, exactly as pictured, within a week of ordering. I immediately asked my husband to assemble the basket and attach it to my bike, which was very easy and only required a screwdriver for a multi-function pocket knife. He immediately sat in the basket and never shook, cried or tried to run away. He really enjoyed riding in this basket! I only have two warnings to potential consumers and this is not the fault of the product but something you should be aware of and be prepared for. First, I believe it should absolutely not be used on dogs over 15 pounds. My 9.5 pound dog was the perfect size and weight for a basket, and I find that anything much heavier would have caused unnecessary jumping when crossing cracks in the pavement, branches, or bumps in the road road would have driven. Also, these bumps can startle more fearful dogs and cause them to move around the basket more than expected, which can throw you off balance. This is more noticeable at lower speeds. Second, if you plan on mounting your basket on a cruiser bike like I did, the turns are going to be tricky at first. Because the Cruiser's handlebars are already very wide, making tighter turns a bit more difficult, the extra front load of the dog basket makes wide and sharp turns more difficult until you learn to steer the bike and add a bit more weight. I mentioned that these are not product defects, but something to be prepared for. Other than that it's a great product, very durable, easy to clean and very snuggly for you and your furry little one.
