An excellent solution to what seems to be a rather complicated problem. A remotely stored vehicle with no AC power and its PITA to move the battery in and out of the vehicle. Very few products on the market offer reliable metered battery charging. Aside from CTEK, this is the only one I could find. I love CTEK products but it was cheaper so I decided to roll the dice. This works great so far. I use an old Deep Cycle as a source and every few months when I'm in the area where the car is parked I just grab the source battery and throw it in my truck to take home and rebuild overnight . This will deplete your source. up to 10 volts, so make sure your source can handle that kind of abuse. Or source a battery with a one-year warranty, slap 9 months off and trade it in for a new one. I wouldn't do it, but I'm not judging.
