Like many others, I was drawn to the thoughtful aesthetic of this toilet seat. Everyone who saw it after installing it thought it was "cool". My grandchildren liked it. After a few months the seat just broke in half! I used it then. I weigh 190 pounds. The seat broke when I slightly shifted my weight to the side. There was no exceptional stress. At first I thought it must be a manufacturing defect and planned to contact the company for a replacement. Then I read the one star reviews and was surprised to find that the overwhelming number of complaints were identical to mine: the seat broke with normal use. There was also at least one report of a customer trying to get customer satisfaction through the company: they were offered compensation for as little as $12. That's when I decided that the gap was caused by fundamentally bad product design and it wasn't worth the time or effort to reach out to the company for some sort of consumer justice. Bottom line: If your home has at least two bathrooms, you can use one to display that cute seat and reserve the other bathroom for real use. Otherwise don't expect this place to last long. Nice but buying it is like throwing money down the toilet!
