This is a thick and well-constructed belt that possesses a slightly rugged looking yet subtle styling that I feel is best suited to wear with jeans or maybe some casual pants, but nothing dressy. It has the look, feel, and smell of 100% leather, so no reason to believe it is anything but that. I was afraid it was a bonded leather belt when I saw all the stitching, but there is no indication that it (the stitching) is anything other than decorative, and a close examination of the edges show that the belt is one solid piece all around. I like the subdued matte finish of the leather and buckle as I like my belts to be functional versus a statement with shiny leather or gaudy buckles. Just a simple strip of cowhide to hold up my pants. Nothing more. I was looking at belts in my local stores, and I saw nothing but cheap quality bonded leather for $30-$35, so $20 for the Kolossus is a great bargain in comparison.Something not mentioned here is that the belt can be altered for someone who falls between sizes. Just buy a larger belt and unscrew the rivet that holds the buckle and trim the belt down as needed, and if necessary, add a little dab of super glue to any stiches that come loose. Drill or punch a new hole, reattach the buckle, and enjoy your customized belt. I did not need to do this because my belt fit as it should. I am a 34 waist and I ordered the size M (34/36), and the fit is perfect.
