Review on RCA DH24SPF 3 GHz Dual-Way Bi-Directional Splitter with Improved SEO by Pop Henneghan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is the normal divider.

Not bad for the price. But he's not as good as others make him out to be. Pros: Gold plated front, good threads, double ground points, lifetime warranty and price. Disadvantages: No difference to other modem splitters. The rear panel is glued instead of soldered and is made of aluminum (no gold plating). The body of the splitter is also thin, about 2/3 of the standard splitter. Also, the retaining clips are not gold plated and will get stuck in the open position. I tried 4 types of splitters. Monster, This, Extreme Broadband and Antronix. I would rate Monster #1, Antronix #2, RCA #3, and Extreme Broadband #4. My best bet was to get a coupler with an attenuator, splitter, and terminator, and then equalize the signal levels on the three lines. I have all 3 lines at 1dBmV. This increased my signal-to-noise ratio to that of a direct connection to the modem. Thanks to the top rated poster for the advice to balance power levels on all lines. So the choice is yours.
