I bought this antenna to replace the reception the combination flat screens in the attic were trying to give us, 31 miles from the broadcast location. . Although I was intimidated at first by the instructions and non-standard features, once I put everything together, the concept seemed surprisingly simple. After the installation, our reception became much better. A very good receiving antenna that I've thought about and heard about in reviews on YouTube. However, it caused me some worry and stress when my wife complained that the picture was missing on her favorite channel. All other channels worked, albeit not as well, and this favorite channel was a blank screen. I got up and finally crawled into the attic where I placed the antenna. I noticed that two wires on the combiner spontaneously came loose. I reconnected these and reception was restored on all channels. But they popped out because the hard lines are flush with each other, but the screws they are designed for are about an inch apart vertically. This means that the broken wires have a residual force directed upwards. Despite the instructions not to over-tighten them, I tightened these wing nuts as tight as I could to keep the wires attached and keep our channels flowing, especially when one of our favorite shows was about to start.
