When I ordered this mount my main concern was how strong and durable it would support the weight of the camera in this position in front of the helmet, especially while riding. off-road bike. That worry went away as soon as I got my hands on the mount. It's well made, solid and clearly designed to save weight and prevent it from breaking. During the tests I ran, the camera held up pretty well. Of course, the two ends of the bracket must be well secured to prevent them from falling. My biggest tip I learned from a great MTB biker is to heat the 3M adhesive base before sticking it on your helmet to make it more secure and likely to stay there forever.
