I had purchased a different one of these milk frother/heaters that had all the mixing electronics in the unit. Like many others have said - it didn't last. I was very careful not to get the old one wet, but after about 6 months it died anyway. This new one from Viante just works - and works very well. I like that there are no electronics inside so that makes it easy to clean and without fear of breaking the electronics. I like that it gets the milk nice and hot - it takes a little more time, but that's okay. Did I mention I like that it is easy to clean and dishwasher safe? Others have teflon coating or whatever which makes you think easy to clean. But milk sticks to it anyway, then the teflon comes off while you try to clean it. That's not good. The Viante is stainless steel, it heats evenly and slowly enough (I guess) that milk doesn't stick. I just really really like it. That's all.
