I love these hooks. They are well made and have a strong hold. They are made of thick plastic and should last for years if not abused (e.g. if you step on them and the hook breaks). It has a spring mechanism that can pop out or break, but again it seems well made and the spring holds tight. The only downside I found is the width/size of the hook. It's too small to fit on some dowel rods in the closet. The hook fits an approximately 2.5 cm wide dowel. If your dowel rod is larger in the closet, it won't fit. If you have a smaller dowel or if you have wire shelves in your closet then it's fine and it's a great product for hanging tall boots that you don't want falling off and wrinkling or whatever else you need. prefer to hang rather than sit on a shelf or on the floor.
