FYI I'm about 5-6 out of 10 newbies to the internet I mostly read about technology to decide if this system is for me. Although it took me almost a full day to set it up properly (instant firmware update etc.), once installed it is impressive. I chose dual-band because I have ethernet wiring throughout the house (important for node-to-router backhaul (backhaul network). If there is no ethernet in the house, use tri-band). Important points for others, set everything up after connecting the mesh router to each node. Please update the firmware immediately. Be patient. Often had to reset and reconnect more than once. With the right configuration, I get 90% of my wired bandwidth within 10-15 feet of each node and about half somewhere in my 5,000 square feet. Feet with a router in bsmt, a node on the master and a node on the second level. . Wonderful IMMO. The app looks cool and ultimately useful, but it takes too long to update the current state of the components. Patience is also required here.
