PRO: 1. Inexpensive.2. The stand is a nice bonus for the display. People who come to my house will always pick it up and play with it when they see it.3. Perfect for hours, days and even months of fun. Definitely the best investment for the money. High quality. I've been using it for a few months now and it's still working great (although the "Rubik Cube symbol" on the middle white square is starting to fade). CONS: 1. Not really a con, but despite being a very smooth cube, it's not the speed cube that real experts use. You can easily turn it into a speed cube for better solve times by using it frequently and using a silicone lube spray to make it really slippery.2. Again, this isn't exactly a scam, but there is a "Rubik's Cube" emblem in the white center that's starting to fade after a few months of use. This does not affect the functionality of the cube itself.3. Again, no minus, but in some low-light situations I have a hard time distinguishing the yellow parts from the white ones. In dim yellow (warm) light, white appears more yellowish and therefore the two colors are difficult to distinguish. Just remember to assemble the cube in decent light and that's not a problem (unless you can do it blindfolded, in which case it's definitely not a problem). It has been a long time since the cube was first assembled. I still have the older one but now it's a mess. Very sticky and difficult to move. I wanted a "Speed Cube" and while it's not, it's pretty damn close. The more you use it, the smoother and faster it gets. A little silicone spray also worked wonders and it's quick and easy. I'm not doing the modified CFOP technique at the best of times (all speedcubers use it, but I don't have time right now to memorize 100+ algorithms. Maybe later), but slowly and surely the old basic system/technique that I do in the late 70's or early 80's (can't remember exactly when, I was a kid) came back to my mind and now I can assemble a cube in less than 1 minute using this method. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to play something, challenge themselves to keep getting better and generally have hours of fun for as little money as possible. This is definitely the best investment (in terms of money and time) I've made in decades. Just think about it. Most games get boring after a few hours. Most video games last a day. Some really good games last a week, and some online games that are constantly updated take longer, but you pay a lot of money for them. For just a few dollars, this toy can be played for hours, days, weeks, months. Again, this is the best entertainment investment you can make. Challenge your friends to beat your high scores. Everyone who is in my house for the first time and sees the cube immediately starts playing with it and ends up asking if I can do it and when I say yes they want me to do it because they are still amazed how anyone can solve this. This is definitely a buy! Act!
