This is great, took 2 minutes to install the first time and about the same to remove. Of course it took me longer the first time, I used zip ties which I had to attach to the tree, powered by batteries so I didn't have to put them back on. The lights are good quality and battery operated, they can flash or stay on. It's essentially a garland of tinsel with thick wire running through it instead of string, which is then formed into a spring coil with confining cords to keep each coil the same distance apart. There is a small tube attached to the tree that slides down the top of the pole, then just drop the fallen tree and voila. Depending on the desired look and height, you can use 2, 3 or 4 rod segments. The bottom edge is not fixed so it will wobble when you use it in the wind or with kids and pets. You can also hang it by threading it through the top instead of putting it on a stand. It's strong enough to add decorations to, but not very heavy. The circles of the ornament are just over a quarter. I'm very happy with it, it's easy to set up and takes up little space making it perfect for small spaces and when folded for storage it takes up very little space. Hope that was helpful, thanks!
