First let me say this kit doesn't smell as bad as some people make it out to be .Smells like regular rubber/plastic tubing, much like a plastic baby pool when new. These are just normal people!Leave it in the garage or shed if you feel like it's that bad.On the product With a little modification it works great. As others have said there are holes in the main bracket which I believe are for vacuums that don't have an adjustable air release/pressure slide on the main hose of the vacuums themselves. So I believe that this is a safety feature to avoid overloading certain vacuum kits, most shop vacuums, like mine, have an air pressure regulator, so with or without holes, that is no problem for my set. The easy solution to completely seal the holes for me was to wrap duct tape all the way around and it worked great. The main reason I bought this is because the number of butterflies or moths in our state has increased insanely to the point that my new car recently had tons of them stuck in the radiator. The only cleaning solution was to remove the bumper, which takes too much work, or find something that fits through the holes in the grilles. This hose attachment kit allows me to insert/insert grids and vacuum and clean them safely. This $8 kit did the job with bugs that are easy to fix. It's hard to complain too much and does what I had to do.
