Despite some trepidation after reading reviews from owners who had had bad experiences with the SG4, I bought it and am glad I did. My experience playing the SG4 has been very positive, although sometimes the weather conditions were so bad that I was only able to get a signal for a few holes. The large screen allows the user to easily see each of the obstacles on a given hole and know the distance to them and the distance required to overcome them. The SG4 also provides a more detailed view of each hazard, as well as the distance to the front, center and back of each green. For golfers who want to know the exact distance they've hit with each of their clubs, the MARK feature is great. Having all this valuable information available on 10 professionally measured courses and 5 personally measured courses is of great value for golfers who play several different courses, not only regularly but also for beginners. The SG4 also has a memory card slot to be able to download more courses when this service becomes available in the future. I think the download procedures on the SKY GOLF website are a bit confusing but not very difficult to understand and use in just a few minutes. I know several mild to moderately disabled people who LOVE this device and I share their enthusiasm and opinion - I have a high disability rate. I also have a Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 with Slope and I find the SG4 much better than the Bushnell. A NOTICE. After receiving the Sky Caddy, buyers will incur at least one additional fee - a subscription fee for downloading courses for 1 year. Fees range from $30 for courses metered in a state you specify to $80 for worldwide usage.
