Review on Accuweight 207 Silver Digital Kitchen Food Scale – Multifunctional with Large Backlit Display, Easy-to-Clean Tempered Glass, and Precision Measuring by Paul Wall

Great scale but a little slow to respond

I've been using this scale for a few months now and there are a lot of things I like about it compared to the three or four scales I've had and use before. Looks great, easy to read, the buttons work much better than any soft touch buttons I'm used to on the scale, I can put large bowls on it and still read the display, it rarely stops mid-measure (big problem, with which I've come across on most scales) and battery life seem good (I haven't changed them since I bought them). The reason they only get four stars is a small issue that might not even bother most people. It reacts very slowly when more ingredients are added to the bowl. If I'm trying to slowly approach a certain weight, I have to give in a little, wait 2 seconds, give in 2 more seconds, wait 2 more seconds until I finally reach the desired weight. Sometimes I have to raise and set the bowl back to make it respond to the addition of a little more (usually 1 gram more). This may not be a problem for many, but I'm used to the scale responding more quickly. Another small feature that could become a big problem in the future is that it's hard to clean under the glass surface, and I'm noticing it a bit. top up
