I have used this stylus on my iPad Mini Gen 5 and it has been documented as being fully compatible. What I think it is. I have a Samsung Note phone that comes with a stylus designed to work with the phone, including all the apps available for the device. Anything that can be done with a finger can be done 100% with a stylus, only faster and more efficiently (and looks smarter than tapping your finger). Advertised as a "pen", this Apple pencil made me expect the same. However, this isn't what I would call a "pen" at all. Instead, it's a companion accessory designed specifically for use with compatible iPad drawing apps, and nothing more. Besides drawing, this is useful for very few things that require you to constantly switch between pen and finger to figure out what's working and what's not. So for compatible apps, yes, it's great for that. How about a stylus for the iPad? Em. NO.
