Mine came with an infrared emitter (the tiny transparent part where the signal appears), barely visible because it's stuck too deep in the device. I have never seen such a remote control - clearly cheap production or maybe I just got a defective device. So the remote 'works', but most of the time you have to press the buttons 2, 3, or 4 times and aim right at the DVD player because the signal is poor and partially blocked by the black plastic of the remote. Aggravating.
