Every time we used it, even for an 8-ounce glass of water, it started revising and revising for up to an hour before shutting down. I called Watts and they asked me who I bought the cartridges from. They told me that third party suppliers buy cartridges in bulk which means you can get an old reverse osmosis cartridge. They said the reverse osmosis cartridge has a lifespan and if it is too old it will not function properly and exhibit the behavior we have seen. We bought cartridges from a third party and they seemed to be too old. To their credit, Watts sent me a new RO cartridge free of charge, although we did not purchase a replacement directly from them. When we replaced the cartridge, the system worked normally again. We really like this water purification system but I give 1 star for faulty third party replacement cartridges. From now on I will buy direct from Watts.
