I really like this case very much. He definitely feels "protected". I only bought this because it comes with a clip. The phone is too big to fit comfortably in my pocket. I'm not a fan of the included screen protector just because it's plastic. So I removed it (very easy to do). I'm not sure if you can put your own screen protector on it as the screen protectors have different thicknesses. I probably won't even put a screen protector on it since the bumper is thick enough that the screen can't touch the ground if the phone falls on your face. I'm not worried about scratching the screen since it's on my belt clip and not in my pocket with keys or other items that could potentially scratch it. Hope that helps!
