The bucket supplied did not have a foot drain. It replaced a similar Rubbermaid bucket that lasted over twenty years before the spring mechanism eventually broke. This one doesn't weigh the same as the old one. When empty, it turns over more easily. This will work, but I'm disappointed that it doesn't have the features described.
