The first Celestron microscope I ordered arrived with damaged shipping packaging which was probably not the sender's fault (apart from the microscope having no packaging protection other than the box it came in ). When I plugged it in, the LEDs didn't light up until I turned the focus knob, so apparently it was broken. I asked for a replacement and it was sent VERY quickly. After A LOT of fiddling and research I gave up and contacted Celestron support. They asked me if I had tried using the software from the disc and if so if I should try downloading the software they gave me. I uninstalled the driver and software I had, rebooted, installed the software they sent me, rebooted, ran the software, connected the camera, and finally installed the correct driver. I get amazing pictures from this thing! So it's worth the hassle of buying and setting it up. The shipping problem was an accident and the software is easy to fix if you get the CORRECT version or something. I want these people to use soft wrap or something like that. It is a fragile instrument and the postman can easily break it.
