Declining costs have hampered great design.

I've used one of these for the last three years with great results. Excellent design and performance but over time the lower working end of the bristles have worn down. The current product has an additional scraping function, but the number of bristles has been reduced by about half. (New on the left, old on the right). The old version always had black wires and bristles, just a lot more bristles. I assume that this saving measure cuts the lifespan by about half and thin bristles break quickly. I hate seeing a seemingly great product go downhill to save $0.50 in cost. Please restore the quality and just increase the price by a dollar or two. Many Thanks. Update 08/25/21: I used the brush once and as always hung it on the end of the grill. The next time I went out to use it, the metal part fell off the wooden handle. The "glue" was viscous and hadn't even set yet, so the metal seemed to flow out of the wood and fall out. Inaccurate design. Change rating to one star.
