The good thing is that the motion detection sensor rotates so you can point it at the probable movement to turn on the light, but the problem is that the rotation isn't enough that the point of light is at the top and the sensor is at the bottom. It just doesn't rotate far enough for my setup where I want the light to be on the ceiling and the sensor to be down. Therefore, in a corridor, a bright light hits your eyes so that the sensor points to people walking down the stairs. There's no good reason why the sensor couldn't rotate 180 degrees or even 340 degrees. Also, the magnetic area on the light is only in the middle, which is another reason you can't point the light straight up when the mount is placed horizontally on the wall. Finally, the screws that come with the mount are absurdly small, they won't hold the light in a plastered wall.
