Review on πŸ‘” Enhanced Metal Collar Stays: Divided for Distinguished Style by Jason Wesley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The collar slips out when I unbutton the collar to put on a tie

These collars are very durable and the variety was very good considering which one, which I needed. The downside, however, is that they are narrower than the collar stands that originally came with all my shirts and they are slippery, slick, which usually can't be a problem, but combined with the extra weight the metal causes them to slip every time right out of the way, my shirt. I turn up my collar to put on my tie in the morning and find it doesn't bother me. Other than that they work and get the job done, but now I understand why some metal collars come with magnets. It just so happens they don't magnetize so there was nothing I could do to fix it. The price was pretty reasonable too so I don't keep them well, but slippage is something I hadn't considered and I should avoid these or similar products in the future.

Pros
  • A one year trial
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
