This is not a direct replacement for the push button type on an older model Leer Shell
One review states that it is a direct replacement for the push button system on the rear window of a Leer Topper truck but it is not. for my. If it came with new cables it might work great but I had to figure out how to reuse old cables that had a crimped sleeve. I was a little disappointed that he didn't have any cables with him. I used this item for a rear window latch on the top of an empty truck that was on my long platform 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. Also, it fits nicely in the same hole as the original button.
