I bought this tablet to replace my old iPad 2, which worked well until I upgraded to iOS 8. The new iPad has an excellent screen. It is pleasing that there is no air layer between the glass and the matrix, thus there is no sense of emptiness. Performance has previously been discussed extensively; there is no need to reiterate it because everything is at the top level. The battery pleasantly surprised me; after a day of intensive use (3 episodes of the show, many arcade games, 12 battles in World of Warcraft, viewing and editing documents, Navigator, mail, and surfing), there was still around 30% of the charge remaining when I went to bed.
