My mother had late stage Alzheimer's disease and was beginning to refuse solid foods. As her daughter and guardian, I panicked. I started doing some research to see how I would feed them. I found the super high calorie version of Boost and found the Benecalorie. I wasn't just looking for calories. i wanted food Both Boost and Benecalorie contain real nutrients, vitamins and proteins in addition to calories. Together, they provide about 1,000 healthy calories in an 8-ounce drink. It was the answer to my prayers. Benekaloriya has no flavor, so you can put it anywhere without it getting a weird taste. So why only 4 stars? Well, the only problem Benecalorie has is that it thickens whatever you combine it with to the point where you can stand in it with a spoon. Whatever you put in it will be difficult to drink or eat. I have found that it liquefies when heated. So I started making hot chocolate. Chocolate boost plus benecalorie. If you put it in food, make sure it's hot food. The thickening was the ONLY issue I had with Benecalori. A very minor issue considering it saved her life. Being able to give my mother so many nutrients gave her energy and improved her mental health as well. So when you find yourself in a situation where for whatever reason you or someone you love cannot eat solid food, Benekaloriya comes to the rescue. I am so thankful that I found Benecalorie at a time when it was so important. I understand that cancer patients also find that this product allows them to incorporate nutrients into their diet when this is not otherwise possible.
