I didn't choose to keep these towels so I can't comment on how absorbent they are. After looking at a million different towels I decided to buy 3 types and return the ones I didn't like. They return. They're a decent size and value for this price point, but feel a bit flimsy. These guys are very handsome. I love the color and the ribbed pattern. They're pretty soft, but the towels I chose ended up being softer. They're also a bit skinny for us. Not very thin but other towels are thicker which is what we wanted. The quality seems good, there were no protruding threads from the packaging. I can't tell you how they hold up to washing because we haven't stored them. The cotton craft arrived straight out of the box with loose threads. It was a nice, thick and soft towel, but we didn't like the loose threads at first. We chose to keep the Pinzon towels. They feel great, they are very soft. They are thick and a comfortable weight. After reviewing about 500 towels in this price range, I learned a few things. 1) There will be mixed reviews for each towel. When you think you've found the perfect towel, you'll read the following review and start doubting yourself. 2) You won't find super thick, super fluffy, 5 star quality spa towels in this price range. You may find good deals, but in the long run you get what you pay for. Ordering my top 3 with free returns worked for us. This is my best advice if you can't be in the shop to feel your new bedding.
