. Every previous cable has the tip corroded to the breaking point. If the grommets weren't corroded, the cables would get hot enough to stick out. I read positive reviews about DeoxIT and tried it when changing cables. I had no corrosion or swelling. The battery pins stay absolutely clean and I feel my batteries charge more efficiently with this paste. I covered the grommets and pins well - maybe a little too much - but wanted to be sure. I've used several cans of aerosol cleaner in the past and my batteries have never looked so good or responded so well with this paste. Periodically I will repaint as a maintenance. A cost-effective measure compared to replacing cables or batteries too early.
