Review on AK4497EQ Bluetooth Optical Coaxial OPA1612 by Rich Ferguson

I really liked my A10a amp and decided to try it. The set works very well together. It may be a bit overpriced, but it performs on par with the SMSL M300 and Topping D50. I wanted multiple inputs and a remote control. Adding all of this to a top-end chip actually makes this a budget option. I like that all remotes work with each component. Press A for Amplifier, B for Headphones, C for Dac. At full gain there is no noise anywhere. The sound is neutral, extended and not harsh. The volume is perfect at any volume. If you use the volume control option, it is 3V max, not 2V for other DACs. Actually, I just set it to maximum and use the headphone amp to control the system volume. I like that it remembers separate volume settings for both the headphone and preamp functions. Still playing with all the filters and sound shaping options and will update later.
